nothing like bawling my eyes out because the baby squirrel Kevin and I rescued yesterday has gone across the rainbow bridge..
i get attached to animals way too easy….
but little Nut was so cute. he was only about 2 inches long, still pink and hadn’t opened his little eyes yet…he was just learning to crawl last night and almost escaped his container a few times. we wiped his little body with warm q-tips to make him think his mommy was licking him clean. we tried to feed him special homemade squirrel formula, and kept him warm by putting his container on a heating pad.
he was such a fun little guy and we barely got to know him :’(
i’ll miss his little squeakings and and watching him wiggle around.
i really wanted to raise a pet squirrel :’(
